Medicine for cramps

medicine for cramps
Menstrual cramps range from mild to severe, and it's usually different for everyone. In my friend circle alone, some are impacted to the point where they can't leave the bed, some get a bit of bloating and others don't get much pain at all. How do you deal with it?! There are medicines specifically for cramps themselves that will be much more effective than your standard paracetamol or ibuprofen pain killer. Here is the main one, with the active ingredient being naproxen sodium:

"Naprogesic has been specially designed to treat the cause of period pain. It does this by inhibiting the production of the pain producing molecules, prostaglandins. Naprogesic works best when taken the day before your period is due, or at the first sign of period pain or menstrual bleeding (whichever comes first). as this allows it to stop the production of prostagladins before they can cause pain. Naprogesic gives effective temporary relief from period pain symptoms for up to 8 hours. Naprogesic (naproxen sodium) is gluten and lactose free and available in packs of 12 and 24 tablets from all major pharmacies. Always read the label. Use only as directed. Incorrect use could be harmful. See your doctor if symptoms persist." -Bayer Australia

Don't fall for misleading packaging

Some companies label their packaging saying "Period Pain Relief" or "Menstrual Cramps Medicine" but contain just paracetamol or ibuprofen at an inflated price. Always check the ingredient or ask the pharmacist to get the best product for your cramps. One that is highly effective is Naprogesic.
