The first time I started using honey for reasons other than eating, I couldn't believe what I had been missing out on. I'd always used it for tea, porridge, baking and general eating (thinking it was a better alternative to sugar, but then technically consuming what one would call an 'unhealthy amount' anyway). This stuff is delicious.
It began when I wanted to find a remedy for dry skin on my face, so naturally, I hit up Google. The recipe I found worked a charm, check out the ingredients below:
-1 tablespoon of brown sugar
-1 tablespoon of honey
-1/4 lemon, juiced
Mix all of these in a small bowl and leave aside. Wash off all your makeup (how good is this feeling?!) and use your fingers to gently rub in the mix of brown sugar, honey and lemon juice on your face, focusing on problem areas. Leave it on and allow to try for about 15 minutes and then gently wash it off with warm water.
I found this recipe amazing for my skin as the honey moisturised the really dry areas and the brown sugar and lemon exfoliated the needed areas.
Has anyone else tried this - what did you think?
